When the Other Woman Heard My Heart Chapter 1

In my past life, my sister, Kyra Wood, and I got married at the same time.

My husband, Callum Gray, was a navy captain, while hers was a farm director. Both of our husbands shared the same childhood friend—Eliana Sullivan.

Kyra and I had the same blood type as Eliana. After she got into an accident, we both donated blood to her.

When she woke up, she unexpectedly started being able to hear the thoughts of Kyra and me.

Callum and I got into an argument, and I wanted him to apologize. However, Eliana told him that I'd never forgive him, even if I died.

On Kyra's wedding anniversary, she decided to ask her husband, Anthony Stone, for a bicycle. However, Eliana told Anthony that Kyra wanted a sports car.

Callum thought my personality was too fiery and decided to divorce me. Anthony thought Kyra was too much of a spendthrift and divorced her as well.

My sister and I were abandoned and lived in loneliness for the rest of our lives—until we died.

When I open my eyes again, I realize that Kyra and I have been reborn. This time, Callum and Anthony can hear our thoughts too.

"Just give Eliana the blood transfusion. We don't need it."

A weak voice dragged me back to reality.

Shouldn't my younger sister, Kyra Wood, and I be wretchedly waiting to die in that tin shed? Why were we here?

I glanced at the three people lying on beds in the emergency room. All of them were as pale as ghosts, and Kyra was tugging on my arm, crying noisily. I realized that I had been reborn.

I had returned to the moment when Anthony Stone, Callum Gray, and Eliana Sullivan were rushed to the hospital for emergency care.

My husband's childhood friend, Eliana, was frowning, tear-glazed eyes shimmering as she looked at him and my brother-in-law, Anthony.

"Cal, Ant, how could I possibly let your wives donate their blood to me? I'm a useless person anyway. Just let me die."

Eliana's face was streaked with tears, and she seemed to be having difficulty breathing as she choked out the words. It sounded as if she would die at any moment.

"How could you say that? We grew up together. We won't just stand by and watch when you're in trouble!"

After comforting Eliana, Callum and Anthony looked at my sister and me, visibly troubled.

It was playing out the same way it had in my past life. My lip curled.

Of course we had to donate our blood, but we wouldn't just donate it to Eliana. We would also donate the blood to the two men lying there.

The blood transfusion was the reason Kyra and I had ended up with such tragic lives. This time, I would seize the opportunity and make sure I was the one in control.

With that thought, I went up to Callum and took his hand tightly. "Don't worry, Callum. We'll save Eliana, but Kyra and I would never just stand by and do nothing when you and Anthony are injured.

"Just go into the emergency operating theater. We'll go get our blood drawn right now. As long as we're around, you'll be fine."

Callum looked touched when he saw the determined look in my eyes. Conversely, a venomous look flashed in Eliana's eyes, even in her weakened state.

I watched the three of them being pushed toward the operating theater, and I began pulling Kyra along to the blood donation area as she continued to cry helplessly.

In my past life, we had only donated our blood to Eliana at our husbands' insistence. Luckily, the two men had survived, despite the severity of their injuries.

But after that, the peaceful families Kyra and I had known began to fall apart. None of us had anticipated such a thing.

Callum and I had had minor conflicts in the past, but they were always resolved quickly.

I had no idea when it started, but Callum began finding me unreasonable whenever we got into a minor argument, even if I had intended to apologize to him.

At the time, I could not understand it. I merely thought that Callum had had a change of heart. The two of us grew apart, and in the end, we got divorced. I was stuck with the label of being "unreasonable".

The same thing happened to Kyra and her husband, Anthony. He ran his farm very efficiently and had made a substantial profit.

He and Kyra led very comfortable lives.

However, Anthony gradually began to see Kyra as a materialistic woman who only cared about her own enjoyment and had no concern for him.

The two of them grew increasingly repulsed by Kyra and me, and eventually, they abandoned us.

Our lives became worse.

Finally, right before I died, Eliana turned up at the tin shed where we were. She covered her nose, looking contemptuous.

That was when I found out that after her resuscitation, our blood flowed in her veins, and she could hear our thoughts.

Therefore, she had used this ability to continuously slander us. She was the reason we had come to such a tragic end.

I thought of how disappointed Callum had been in me in my past life and how he had complained.

"Sophie, when did you become such a stranger?"

I clenched my fists involuntarily, ignoring the way my nails dug into my palms.

She had provoked conflict between us by using our thoughts against us.

This time, I wouldn't let only Eliana hear us. I wanted Callum and Anthony to hear us too—so they could see what a venomous woman their childhood friend truly was.
