It seems her desperate pursuit of a 'powerful man’s love' is being broadcast to a mysterious audience, turning our lives into a bizarre livestream.

The Villainess Bound to a Rogue System Chapter 1

My roommate was obsessed with those cheesy “milk-scented girl” romance stories.

She wanted to become the kind of heroine from those books. Tiny, soft, and delicate, the type who was supposedly so sweet that even her farts smelled like milk.

So she went completely overboard.

She lived on dairy. Drank milk nonstop. Even took milk baths.

She tried everything, all because she was convinced she’d eventually run into her destined male lead.

I believed in letting people make their own choices.

What I didn’t expect was for her to go after my boyfriend, the guy I’d basically grown up with.

One day, she sent him a carefully posed thirst trap.

He replied with one word.

“Get lost.”

Then she proudly showed me the screenshot, like she’d won something.

“Only girls like me, soft and sweet and irresistible, deserve a powerful man’s obsessive love.”

“Don’t be fooled by how cold he is now. He’ll be crazy about me soon enough. He’ll want me all to himself.”

I was just about to tear into her when a row of floating comments suddenly appeared in front of my eyes.

“Fresh one, guys. This host is bold. Coming in with a thirst trap right away? Nice.”

“Wait, what? Isn’t this just harassment? The male lead already has a girlfriend.”

“Bro, I think you’re in the wrong livestream.”

“Chloe Spencer, why did Ethan block me?”

I blinked, completely confused. “Who?”

“Your boyfriend. Ethan Cole.”

Mia Lane’s eyes widened, venom flashing in her gaze as she stared at me.

“You do realize he’s my boyfriend, right?”

I looked up at her, calm, like I could see straight through her.

She let out a cold snort. “What are you so smug about? He and I are meant to be.”

Her lips kept moving, but my attention had already shifted to the floating comments that had suddenly appeared in front of me.

After quietly observing for a few days, I realized something.

I was the only one who could see them.

From what I could piece together, this world was actually an ongoing webnovel.

And the female lead?

Mia Lane.

Apparently, she’d bound herself to some kind of “malice system.”

Seriously? She actually got to be the main character?

I looked at her arrogant expression and felt a wave of disgust… but mostly, it was just ridiculous.

I curled my lips into a faint, dismissive smile.

“You and him? Meant to be? Try waking up.”

Mia’s face twisted as she shrieked, “What would you know? This is fate! It’s my mission from the system!”

“In this story, I’m the female lead. Ethan is destined to be mine. And you? You’re just an annoying side character. Sooner or later, I’ll crush you.”

I let out a quiet laugh. “A system? You’ve been reading too many novels. You’ve lost it.”

That night, I went out to dinner with my boyfriend.

Mia shamelessly tagged along and sat right next to us.

Her eyes swept over me, up and down, and she said in a syrupy, passive-aggressive tone,

“They say girls are supposed to be soft and squishy. Chloe, you train in combat sports all the time, right? Aren’t you… kind of masculine?”

Wow. If I could, I’d knock her out with one punch.

Before I could respond, Ethan calmly chimed in.

“If someone feels soft, it just means they have a higher body fat percentage.

“If their bones feel soft, they probably need more calcium.”

Mia immediately lit up, putting on a full act.

“Wow, Ethan, you know so much! I’m so impressed!”

She clasped her hands under her chin, eyes sparkling as she stared at him like he’d just descended from heaven.

I clenched my own fists.

Mostly to stop myself from punching her across the table.

Soon enough, military training started.

Mia still stuck to me like glue every single day.

Ethan leaned his head on my shoulder, pouting.

“Your roommate is seriously annoying. Doesn’t she have her own life or something? Why does she keep hovering around mine?”

I couldn’t help but laugh and ruffle his hair. It felt way too nice.

When Mia goes quiet, you know she’s up to something.

The second Ethan showed up, she suddenly “collapsed” like she’d run out of energy.

And somehow, she managed to faint in a perfect S-curve.

I rolled my eyes so hard it almost hurt.

“Ethan…” she called out in a sickly sweet voice, dripping with fake weakness.

It was so sugary it made my teeth hurt.
