The Ugly Girl Is Actually A Goddess Chapter 1

The boy won't let me go. He gave me everything except freedom. Just thinking about him sends a chill down my spine. That boy became my nightmare, always chasing me. From the very first time I saw him, the way he looked at me felt wrong. Like I belonged to him.

At first, his gifts seemed sweet - chocolates, snacks, little things. I even thought it was cute, like a crush. But the presents got weirder, more personal. Then I found the truth. That teddy bear he gave me? I cut it open. There was a camera inside. A hidden camera. Suddenly, I saw the real him. This wasn't love. It was sick obsession from a dangerous person.

I thought running away would save me. New city, new school. But the nightmare got worse. He was there. And his older brother, a teacher at my new school, looked at me with the same creepy stare. Like they were both part of this awful game.

The police didn't help. When my parents told them, they did nothing. His family is rich and powerful here. Justice doesn't matter to people like them. Only money and influence do.

For a moment, I thought he changed. He seemed sorry. But it was a trick. Just another lie to make me drop my guard. He was still the same twisted person, hiding in the shadows, waiting to grab me again.

I can feel his eyes on me all the time. It's suffocating. I can never relax, never feel safe, knowing he's out there. Watching. Waiting. Wanting me with a hunger that never stops.

He's torn my life apart. My sense of safety is gone, crushed by his sick obsession. I'm trapped in a living hell with no way out. The fear of what he might do next is eating me alive.

Then, things got even darker. Boys from my school started vanishing. Whispers filled the halls. Fear hung thick in the air. Deep down, I knew. I knew he was behind it. The police stayed silent, bought off by his family's money. Again.

Everywhere I looked, I saw his face, that possessive stare burning into me. His brother's watchful eyes were always nearby too. I couldn't relax for a second.

One afternoon, walking home, a car screeched to a halt, blocking my path. Strong hands yanked me inside before I could scream. My heart hammered against my ribs as the car sped away. Where were they taking me? What horror waited?

The drive was a blur of panic. I fought, but it was useless. All I had was a tiny spark of hope that I could somehow escape this nightmare he'd made of my life. But his presence, the constant threat, felt like it was smothering that spark.

The car finally stopped at a huge, isolated mansion. His family's estate. A monument to their twisted power. He dragged me inside. The heavy doors slammed shut behind us. The air felt thick with dread. This place wasn't a hideout; it was a stage for his family's madness.

Inside, I saw another prisoner: a woman with haunted eyes. His mother. She knew this torment too. "It's in the blood," she whispered, her voice bitter. "The men in this family... they get consumed. They have to possess the one they want, no matter the cost. They destroy everything." Her words hit me like a physical blow. This wasn't just about him. It was a family curse. Generations of this sickness.

Months passed inside those walls. Then Renshu stood before me, his eyes blazing with that familiar, terrifying hunger. I stepped back, ready to fight. He held up his hands, looking strangely torn. "I'm sorry," he choked out. "I scare you. I... I can't control myself around you."

His words hung heavy. This was far deeper than a crush. It was a generational sickness.

"The boys from school," I demanded, my voice shaking. "Where are they?"

His face darkened. For a second, I thought he'd hit me. Instead, he sank to his knees. "I had to," he pleaded, tears welling. "They were in the way. Trying to take you. I had to get rid of them. You have to be mine. Only mine."

Ice flooded my veins. The disappearances... he admitted it. "You're a monster," I spat. "How could you kill them? For what? Your sick fantasy?"

He flinched. "I didn't want to! I love you! I couldn't lose you! I'd do anything!"

"Stay away!" I hissed, backing up. "I will never love you. You're a monster. I won't be part of this!"

His face crumpled, then hardened. A dangerous rage took over. "You don't get a choice," he growled, low and deadly. "You're mine. I'll destroy anyone who tries to take you."

He lunged. Pure adrenaline surged. I swung my fist hard, connecting with his jaw. He staggered back, stunned. I bolted for the door. But he was fast, grabbing my arm like a vise.

"Where do you think you're going?" he hissed, his breath hot on my face. "You're not leaving. Ever. You belong to me."

I fought his grip. "Never! I'd rather die than be yours!"

He raised his other hand, maybe to strike. Then, a flicker of movement behind him. His mother! She grabbed a heavy vase and smashed it down on his head. *Crack!*

His grip loosened. "RUN!" she screamed, her eyes wild. "The door! Go NOW!"

I hesitated. "Come with me!" I begged.

She shook her head, fierce and sad. "I can't. This is my punishment. For my family. GO!"

Renshu roared in pain and rage. I ran. Heart pounding, legs pumping, I raced towards the open door, freedom just steps away.

*BANG!*

I stumbled, crying out. I whirled around. Renshu stood, face twisted in agony and fury, a gun smoking in his hand. At his feet, his mother lay still, blood spreading across her chest.

He turned the gun towards me. I saw the madness, the broken thing inside him.

"I can't," he whispered, the gun trembling but aimed. "I can't lose you. I won't. You're mine. I'll kill anyone!!!" His finger tightened on the trigger.

His mother, with her last strength, had lurched forward, grabbing his arm. "NO! Renshu! Stop! Let her GO!" she gasped.

Renshu's eyes flashed with torment. Then, horrifyingly, he turned the gun slightly and pulled the trigger.

*BANG!*

His mother collapsed, unmoving. Renshu stared, frozen in shock, the gun hanging loosely.

Killing his own mother hadn't broken the obsession; it had shattered something else. He needed me more than ever. His whole identity was tied to possessing me. Losing me was unthinkable.

I didn't think. I lunged for the gun. We grappled, fingers scrambling on the metal. The gun went off.

White-hot pain exploded in my head. My legs gave way. The world tilted violently, colors swirling. I hit the floor hard. Darkness started swallowing everything.

Through the haze, I heard Renshu's broken wail. "No! NO! What did I do? Oh God, WHAT DID I DO?" He dropped beside me, cradling my head, his tears falling on my face. The raw horror in his voice was almost human.

But even fading, I knew. The curse wasn't broken. The nightmare wasn't over. I'd fought him, defied him, pushed him away even as the darkness took me. A small victory. But his shadow, his family's curse, still loomed.

As the blackness pulled me under, a strange relief washed over me. Maybe this was peace. Maybe this was escape.

Then... I opened my eyes.
