The Mafia's Obsession [He Owned The World] Chapter 1

In a dimly lit factory, the rumble of machinery formed a constant backdrop.

Max ascended to the second floor. As he entered, his eyes fell on the figure standing.

"Francisco, James hasn't given us any updates. What should we do next?" Max's voice held a note of urgency.

Francisco was a strikingly handsome and enigmatic young man. His blue eyes, as deep and unfathomable as the sea itself, stared off into the distance as he casually exhaled a plume of cigarette smoke.

"You are aware of our methods in this case, Max," Francisco replied calmly.

**

In the shadowy underworld of the city, Francisco was the leader of the gangsters.

Killing, drug dealing, property jacking, money heists, and drug supply were all part of his dark repertoire. His extensive experience in trafficking, kidnappings, and murder made him a master of the criminal underworld. Francisco's reach extended even to the corridors of power, where he subtly manipulated the government to serve his interests.

Max, on the other hand, was the other half of this sinister duo. A friend and a manager of Francisco's illicit businesses.

Max and Francisco stood side by side, their eyes scanning the surroundings of the dimly lit factory.

"Okay, we are heading there now," Max said.

But before Max could take another step, Francisco's abrupt words cut through the air like a blade.

"No."

Max came to an abrupt halt. He watched as Francisco tossed his cigarette aside and turned back towards him.

"I can manage the port on my own," Francisco declared.

Max's shock was palpable.

"What? It's impossible, Francisco." He knew the risks involved in such a venture.

But Francisco appeared unruffled by Max's protests.

"Don't worry. I won't attack his port all by myself. I'm not a fool."

Max's brows furrowed. He shouted after him, his words echoing in the empty space. But Francisco didn't look back. He simply raised his hand in a casual wave and strode away.

Five hours had passed since Francisco's left the factory, and the scene had shifted to the port.

At the other end of a phone call, Bruce, a well-muscled man, stood; he was James's right-hand man.

"Sir, everything is in order here. We are ready to board the girls. We are just waiting for your order."

James's voice crackled over the phone, "Keep your eyes open as well."

Bruce nodded, "Sure, sir. This time, Francisco won't block our path."

"Don't let up. We have not sent them to the border yet," James urged. He had reason to be concerned; after all, they were dealing with Francisco.

Bruce's response was swift. "Okay, sir. I will inform you of everything after boarding those girls out of here."

With those words, Bruce hung up the phone. He knew that their operation had to be smooth.

However, as Bruce lowered the phone, an unexpected touch on his head. His eyes grew wider with realization. Without looking back, he spoke, "This is our port, Francis. We also have some regulations in our realm. You can't do this, and you know it better."

But Francisco, with his audacity showed no signs of backing down. He suddenly pressed the trigger, the gunshot echoing through the port as he fired.

"I am free to do whatever I want," Francisco declared, "I will own the whole seaport because I am the king here."

[Bang]

Before Bruce could react and he let out a visceral cry of pain. Francisco had shot him.

"Ah," Bruce whimpered.

The deafening sound of a gunshot shattered the eerie silence inside the cabin, jolting every girl..

"Oh my God, what is going on over there?" one of the abducted girls whispered, her voice trembling with fear.

"They... they will kill us," another girl uttered, her voice choked with sobs.

These girls were being transported to foreign lands.

"I want to live, not die."

"Me too. I don't want to die." Another one whispered.

The grim reality of their situation had left them feeling helpless. But amidst the tears and fear, one of them rose to her feet.

"Girls, don't worry. We will be alright," she said, her voice carrying a note of hope. She was tall and possessing a figure akin to a celebrity, her beauty highlighted by green eyes.

Her name was Hazel, she had been duped by a woman and found herself trapped in this nightmarish ordeal.

Hearing her, another girl stood up. "Alright? How? Don't you understand what they are planning to do with us? They will sell us."

"After that, I'm not sure where we will end up."

"Just trust me, nothing will happen to us," Hazel added.

Another girl spoke up, "Please don't give us false hope, girl. You are well aware of our future. They are going to sell us. It's human trafficking."

Hazel was about to say something but stopped by the sudden cry of a girl.

"I want to go home," the girl cried.

Hazel approached and gently took her hand. "Hey, everything will be okay."

"The police will save us, I tell you."

That girl gave a slight nod. Hazel wrapped her arms around her.

But just as a fragile sense of solace settled among the girls, another gunshot rang out. This time dangerously close to their cabin.

The young child whispered in a trembling voice. "I don't want to go. I want to see my mom."

Hazel held the trembling girl firmly. But the cabin door burst opened suddenly and a group of 7 or 8 masked men stormed in.

Amid the chaos, a man in a mask entered the room, wielding a rifle with a commanding presence.

It was Francisco.

Francisco surveyed the room. In a disdainful tone, he commanded coldly, "Take all the girls on the ship now."

As everyone heard, they clung to one another. Francisco had signaled to his men to use force.

One of the masked men forcefully grasped a girl's arm. "Hey, there is no time for us to watch you cry."

The girl continued to plead desperately. "No, please, I don't want to go."

But the masked man remained unmoved by her pleas, dragging her away without a shred of compassion.

Hazel could not hold herself anymore so she stood up to speak. When Francisco turned, his gaze met Hazel's. Hazel locked her eyes with Francisco and said, "Every offender has the right to express their final wishes."

She sighed deeply, "So if you would listen to my final request, I know no one will grant my last wish except you."

Hazel lowered her gaze for a moment. "So..."

"Let this girl go, please."

The room fell into an uneasy silence. Francisco tilted his head and cautiously approached Hazel. Hazel remained remarkably composed.

There was an undeniable attraction... a magnetic pull... that seemed to draw Francisco towards her.

He couldn't help but be captivated by her presence.

Hazel, still looking directly into his eyes, repeated her request. "I am hoping you will fulfill my last request. She has no fault."

Instead of turning his attention to that girl, he reached out for Hazel. His fingers brushing lightly against Hazel's face. She arched her brows because she was surprised by his action, but she did not move back.
