The 101st Divorce: Dear, Let’s Say Goodbye to Mistakes Chapter 1

I begged Grayson Foley countless times, and he finally agreed to pray with me and my mom at St. John's Cathedral in New York.

But even after mom passed away with regret, Grayson didn't show up.

However, his secretary posted their photos of riding on horses.

She added below the photos: [Where I want to go, he will accompany me even if it's far away.]

Looking at the location less than one mile away from me, I called to question Grayson, but he didn't care.

"I've always been like this. If you can't stand it, we can divorce."

This was the 101st time he had proposed a divorce.

This time, I did not ask him to stay, but he regretted it.

——

I dealt with my mother's funeral alone.

In just a few hours, Grayson's secretary, Selah Larson, had sent me many videos.

The two of them rode horses, took photos, and went to the pub together.

Grayson had never posted anything before, but he reposted what Selah had sent.

This could be regarded as an official announcement of their relationship.

The comments were full of cheers, saying that they were a perfect match.

I wanted to slip away, but the scene stung my heart.

If they were a match made in heaven, what about me? I was Grayson's wife.

I was nothing.

After all, he was willing to cross more than half of the country for the sake of Selah but was unwilling to walk one mile for me.

I begged him so many times, but it didn't work when Selah just asked him to do one small thing.

I replied Grayson with a single word: [Okay.]

A few hours later, he called me with a cold and indifferent tone.

"You always make a fuss. Can you stop?"

I was at a loss for words. Every time we quarreled, it was always Grayson who proposed a divorce.

He knew I loved him and that I couldn't bear to leave him.

Therefore, every time he did something wrong, he would say coldly, "Divorce if you can't stand it."

In the past six years, I compromised a hundred times.

This was the 101st time. I don't want to compromise again.

I decided to let him go.

I took a deep breath and said, "My mother has passed away. We don't have to live like actors for the sake of her health."

After a moment of silence, his tone softened.

"I don't know that! Wait for me. I'll go and be at your side right now."

I waited for an hour. But it suddenly rained.

As I ran to take shelter from the rain, I suddenly felt the world spinning.

A strong sense of suffocation hit me. I lost my balance and rolled down the slope. My head hit the ground heavily, and I lost consciousness.

When I woke up again, I was lying in the hospital with my head wrapped in thick gauze.

There was no one beside me.

The nurse said that I had a slight concussion due to altitude sickness and needed to stay in the hospital for two days.

In the past two days, I didn't see Grayson. All I saw was that Selah kept updating herself.

[I got wet in the rain and caught a cold. Fortunately, he took good care of me.]

[He made the soup himself today. I'm so touched.]

[He didn't leave me for a moment during these two days when I was sick. It's really the luckiest thing in my life to meet him.]

I remembered that not long ago, I had a fever and asked Grayson to get some water for me.

He looked impatient.

"Carlee Parrish, my hands are busy with my career, but not for doing domestic chores. If you don't like it, you can get a divorce and find someone else!"

It turned out that he was willing to do some trivial things, but just not for me.

I was in a trance.

Selah was a college student that I supported. She came to our company for an internship after graduation.

At that time, he didn't like her and complained to me about her stupidity all day long.

However, since some time ago, he had mentioned her more and more often in front of me.

She communicated less and less with me.

Until now we were like strangers.

It was a lifetime of good fortune for Selah to meet Grayson.

However, it was a life-long regret for me to meet him.

I didn't want to continue with my regrets, so I sent a message to Grayson and told him to divorce at the Family Court.

This time, he replied very quickly.

"I have something urgent to attend to.

"Stop fooling around. Wait for me at the airport tomorrow. I'll go back with you."

But I did not continue to wait for him like a fool.

I bought a ticket and boarded the plane.

On the plane, I had a long dream.

In my dream, I was deeply in love with Grayson, and Selah did not appear.

He wanted to start a business, and I gave him all my savings.

He needed a good housewife, so I resigned and took good care of him.

Step by step, we moved from the rental apartment to the villa in city center and changed from an electric car to a Rolls-Royce.

He was successful and famous, and he loved me as much as ever. We used to be a model couple.

However, all these changed... on the day I lost my child.
