Smith's pov

I didn't know how many glasses Alexia drank, but this wine is so intoxicating so I am sure she's really drank.

"How much did she drink?" I questioned Warren.

"I don't know, maybe 6 glasses." Warren replied, seeming a little bit panicked.

"Let's go." I patted Alexia's shoulder lightly, but Alexia didn't respond, just staring at the glass blankly.

I stared at her in a daze and my lips curved up to form a smile.

This girl is so cute, drank or not, she's still so adorable.

Alexia was usually very sloppy, just sitting as quiet as a cute cat this is good, she's not wild when drank, plus points.

My breathing suddenly went erratic after seeing her figure. I immediately had the urge to take her away!

I wrapped her in my arms with great ease, ignoring the exclamation of the people in the surrounding.

"Johnny Evans, Johnny. I hate you! You should never come to me again." Alexia didn't know what she was talking about, but I felt even angrier when I heard the name of a strange man coming out of her mouth. Who is that man?!

"Who is Johnny Evans?" I asked her, but Alexia didn't say a word. Is she hallucinating? Having a bad dream? Or having the girls drank episodes?

I took Alexia in the passenger's seat then gently fastened her seat belt. I deliberately lowered my head toward her collar bones.

"Alexia, you are finally back!" Anni her friend suddenly opened the door happily, only to find out that a handsome guy is carrying her friend totally drank and lost!

"Where is her room," I asked softly.

"Can you pour a glass of water?" I saw Alexia's dry lips so I know that she has to drink some water. I reached out and took the SKY Mermaid off her neck then shoved it in my pocket.

I didn't realize what I was doing, I was being very intimate. I simply wanted to take care of her myself, even though I never did this before, I took off her shoes then covered her with a quilt.

But I still wanted to be alone with her in the room for a while. So under the excuse of asking for water, I forced Anni to leave.

I couldn't help it anymore. So I lowered my head, and approached her lips.

I sat down so helplessly tired, where did I lost it? Was I too drank that I became so careless?

I might be mistakenly blamed that I intentionally kept it if I couldn't return it to Mr.Smith!

Anni noticed my worriedness then offered me to help find the necklace.

"Have you not observed it on my neck when I came home last night? I asked her.

"How could I? Your arms are all around that boss of yours that I had not seen your neck." She questioned me.

"That is too expensive! My life is no enough worth for it. I don't know what to do." I was too scared telling her about my fears.

"Relax, you did not lost it intentionally." She solaced me but sure enough I know that she agrees with me.

"What will I do?" I asked her as if she knows how to solve my problem. She's a more scared cat when it comes to expensive things for my information.

She shook her head with her pout folded up.

I sat then closed my eyes brushing my head with my fingers. I couldn't think of a way, I don't even know how to disclose that I have lost it!

Slowly and idea came into my mind.

I ran towards my phone then grabbed it to make a call.

I called Warren anxiously. He was by my side at that time. Maybe he would know where the necklace went.

"Hey Warren, good morning. It's me, Alexia." I politely greeted.

"Good morning, Alexia, how are you feeling right now?" Warren cared about me, but I was only thinking about the necklace.

"I'm fine. I just want to ask you. Have you seen the Sky Mermaid I wore last night?"

"That necklace, wasn't it on your neck even before you left the banquet?" Warren also felt strange. It was on my neck yesterday.

"That means it was still before I left?"

My hope was dashed, I lost it! "Is the necklace lost?" Warren suddenly understood something.

Warren's POV

When Smith took Alexia away, I saw the necklace on her neck, and the necklace was very cumbersome to wear and remove. So it was impossible to lose it. Someone must have taken it away, who was it? I smiled and decided to help Smith.

If I needed to rumble with her in protection for the earrings then I will! I lost the necklace so not the earrings too!

Andie looked at me in agreement. Then when I looked around, I saw that almost everyone in the room were on my side.

So if incase the earrings were really stolen, I have witnesses to help me out.

I pulled my bag in her hands, then gave her a deadly look. I am raised with dignity, so this daughter of whose daughter do4esnt have any right to ruin me! Damn her!

It was already time for work so everyone returned to their position. Only Angel was still standing in front of me, staring at the table in a daze.

"Are you okay? What are you still doing here? Shouldn't I proceed to my work, or we'll play hide and seek here?" I braved my voice for her.

Angel seemed to be shocked at my reactions, she might have not expected me to shame her in front of my officemates. She glanced at me sharply then left.

I saw that the earrings were still in there. I heaved a sigh of relief.

After a while, Andie ran over and whispered to me, "Angel just went out secretly. I followed her and saw her enter the elevator. Guess what?! She went to the monitor room!"

"Go and see what she is up to." I locked the drawer, took my phone, and went out with Andie.

"That's good, let's go." He very gentlemanly sent us downstairs after having a meal.

"Are you free tonight?"

"Sorry. We have been working overtime these days. So I don't have time tonight." What I said is the truth.

"It's okay. Let's have dinner together at noon tomorrow." Jack suggested again.

"But how can you come here all the way from your office every day?" I knew his workplace was far away from mine, and it would take more than an hour to drive over.

"It's okay. I've been seeing customers outside these days. So I dropped in." Jack smiled.

"Okay, then see you tomorrow. Drive carefully." After returning to the office, I found someone moved things on my desk again, and this time Andie's desk was also the same.

"Don't worry, everyone. I'm a new employee here, Bella, and I just wiped the table for everyone." This Bella was the person who helped Angle pick the lock last time.

"Yes, she is a new staff member. She was recruited by the manager." A colleague who arrived in the office earlier introduced her to us.

And Jack was more and more satisfied with me. He even wanted to move further in our relationship.

After getting off work on Friday, I came to the commercial street and looked at the gorgeous jewelry.

I suddenly thought about the Blue Mermaid. I didn't know if Calvin found it. My phone rang suddenly.

It was Calvin. I was still thinking about him, and now he called me. My heart jumped wildly.

"Why are you answering my call now?" Calvin's tone seemed a little angry.

"I left my phone in the room just now." I lied. I thought about my relationship with him and felt it was really awkward to talk to him now. I wasn't his lover or a familiar friend, but our talk looked like communication between lovers.

"Really!" Calvin's tone became colder, even I could detect something wrong with him. He found out that I had lied, but I had already lied and could only continue to make up lies.

"Are you okay?" So I pretended to be naive about his behavior.

"No." And the strange conversation ended

Calvin's pov

I was sitting in the car staring at Alexia who was standing in front of the jewelry store, and I squeezed the gift box in my hand. It was the gift he planned to give her.

As soon as I got off the plane, I immediately came to her, but she lied. Did she really hate me so much?

Alex's pov

After I hung up the phone, I felt very guilty. Somehow, I felt as if someone was watching me. I looked back and it seemed to be a familiar car.

After I got home, I packed my clothes and saw the jacket Calvin lent from the first meeting. I thought I'd better find the opportunity to return the jacket to him. Before I could fall asleep, Warren sent me a message.

w: Alexia, have you received a gift?

A: What gift?

W: Smith went to see you when he got off the plane? Has the gift arrived yet?

Warren is also surprised. I was stunned when I saw his text message. I hadn't seen him today, but it suddenly occurred to me that I received a weird call in the afternoon and the car that made me feel a little familiar.

Calvin's pov

I smiled. I wanted to hide it for a while. I intended to use this necklace and trick Alexia into dating Alexia, but her behavior today made me feel a little nervous. What would happen if she found out about this in the future?

She would know that I was hiding the secret, and the consequences might be serious. Right now our relationship was very ordinary. So I shouldn't do things to destroy it even more. So I gave up this plan.
