Return again: Anyone who bullies me will surely die! Chapter 1

After my rebirth, I could almost guess what Susan Collins was going to do.

After all, in my previous life, she did the same thing on my wedding night. Dressed in a provocative nightgown, she tearfully stopped Dalton Aniston, who was heading back to our room, and started her blatant seduction.

She said, her eyes shimmering with tears, "Dalton, I know this is wrong. But I love you. As long as I can be near you, I'll do anything."

It wasn't that she truly loved Dalton; she just enjoyed taking things from me.

In the last life, Dalton succumbed to temptation and ended up spending our wedding night with her.

Later, he even wanted to divorce me and marry Susan.

Now that I was reliving my life, even though I was trying to avoid him by marrying someone else, Susan was still up to her old tricks, trying to climb into Mark Aniston's bed.

As she approached Mark, I was just around the corner of the staircase, watching.

Susan walked closer to Mark, her eyes welling up as she said, "I don't ask for anything in return. Even if I become the mistress, even if I'm scorned by everyone, I'm willing..."

She was certainly attractive. If we were talking pure looks, she was by far the most striking member of the Collins family.

Especially with her pitiful appearance, it was hard for any decent man to resist.

But Mark was not any average man!

He was the one I meticulously chose, the man in the entire city who was the least likely to fall for a femme fatale.

He was the third young master of the Aniston family in Arola City.

Mark was also the only son who'd been appointed as the vice president of the Shrander Group.

Rumor had it that he was moody, had a face like a demon, and was indifferent to women.

There was even a story about a young actress who tried to seduce him and ended up being reported to the police and thrown out of the hotel, never to be heard from again.

Although rumors couldn't always be trusted, no executive dared to marry their daughter to him.

But I was different; I was the only one who'd done everything possible to marry him.

I did this not for any other reason but because of that "indifferent to women" reputation.

As Susan once again declared her feelings to Mark, I hid around the corner of the staircase, munching on snacks, and quietly asked Rebecca Hansen behind me, "So, who do you think will win this showdown between Susan and Mark?"

I was purely in it for the show.

How could I miss a drama like this that cost nothing to watch?

Rebecca didn't answer, but she did quietly shove another handful of snacks into my hands, murmuring, "It's still your man. Aren't you a bit too relaxed about this?"

Relaxed? Not really.

If Susan failed with Mark, I'd be thrilled.

If she succeeded, I'd sacrifice myself and play the role of the villain in their love story.

Since I was already here, there was no way I would be as foolish as in my previous life, waiting until the next day to endure it for the sake of the Collins family's reputation.

Naturally, I wouldn't be that naive. I trusted my own judgment.

So, I whispered again, "Let's bet two thousand dollars. I bet Mark won't take the bait."

Rebecca clearly wasn't in the mood for a wager, but that didn't stop me from betting with myself.

I decided that if Susan succeeded like she did in my previous life, I'd head to court the next day, hand over the title of Ms. Aniston to her without a word, and find a place to retire and spend the rest of my days.

If Mark could resist the temptation, I would begrudgingly make up for the grievances of the past life.

With that thought, I eagerly watched the scene unfolding in the hallway.

I had to admit, rumors aside, Mark was quite handsome.

Perhaps he inherited his mother's Rosian bloodline; his features were much more defined than those of most men back home.

In the warm glow of the lights, he looked like an otherworldly sprite that had just stepped into the realm of mortals.

Dressed in a sharp suit, he stood at a distance, his expression hidden from view.

All I could see were his eyes, fixed intently on Susan.

Susan, with a delighted smile, was murmuring heartfelt declarations as she slowly moved closer to him.

The gap between them was closing fast, and they were almost touching.

Rebecca, standing behind me, couldn't help but whisper, "Ms. Collins, you're about to lose."

Unperturbed, I turned back and made a calming gesture with my hand.

"Why worry? There's still a little distance left. They haven't kissed yet."

No sooner had I spoken than I heard a loud thud, followed by a scream that could wake the dead. "A ghost!"

I turned to see Mark leaping around the hallway like a man possessed while Susan sat on the floor, looking dazed.

I blinked, turning to Rebecca. "What did I miss?"

Rebecca, her face expressionless, replied, "Oh, you missed Mr. Aniston kicking Ms. Susan Collins across the room."

Mark's panicked cries quickly attracted a crowd.

With so many people around, there was no place to hide.

Even Mark spotted me and ran over as if I were his savior, clinging to my neck and wailing.

"Help! Help! There's a ghost that looks just like you!"

I was not quite sure what to make of this.
