Reborn to Rise Chapter 1

The human world had been taken over by vampires and werewolves.

My noble parents wanted to please them, so they married me and their adopted daughter, Sophie, to them separately.

In my last life, Sophie chose the strong and loyal werewolf.

I chose the graceful and noble vampire.

But on a full moon night, the werewolf in heat tore Sophie apart. Meanwhile, I gained eternal life after going through the vampire's Embrace.

My parents wanted revenge for Sophie, so they drugged me and sent me to the werewolf's bed, where I was bitten and died.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day we drew lots for marriage.

This time, Sophie knocked over the lot box and sweetly said she wanted to marry the vampire.

"Anna, it's my turn to live forever."

I didn't object and accepted the vicious werewolf.

In this new life, Sophie was still so foolish. She thought she could be happy by relying on a man.

However, what I wanted was to save all of humanity.

"Mom, I want to marry the vampire! I don't care about lots!"

As I opened my eyes, I could still feel the pain of being bitten and torn apart. When I heard Sophie Anderson's spoiled voice, I quickly realized I had been reborn.

But why did Sophie make a different choice this time?

Sophie was adopted and a fake heiress. In my last life, she had immediately picked the werewolf with six-pack abs and handsome features. She even cried and begged to marry him.

My parents said the marriage would be decided by drawing lots, but both lots were secretly for the werewolf.

Sophie picked first. No matter which lot she chose, it was the werewolf.

Sure enough, when Sophie said the draw didn't count and insisted on marrying the vampire this time, Mom gently stroked her head and agreed with a loving smile.

Then she turned to me with a cold face and said, "Anna, Sophie is your sister and has been with me all these years. Just let her have this one."

Since I came back at 16, Mom always said something like this and would tell me to give in.

Before, I would argue and feel unhappy. But now, I just nodded and agreed.

Mom looked like she was ready to say something more to persuade me. However, she stopped and looked at me strangely after I agreed so easily.

I turned to go pack my things, but Sophie grabbed my arm tightly and said fiercely, "Anna, it's my turn to live forever."

At that moment, I knew Sophie had been reborn too.

I smiled and looked back. "Then I hope your wish comes true."

Last life, Sophie only saw the vampire's noble charm. She saw that he was elegant and graceful, and able to grant eternal life. She didn't know that behind the scenes, I almost got drained dry by him many times.

If Sophie wanted that so badly, then she could be his blood bank.

Soon, the vampire and the werewolf sent their best family members to marry us.

The vampire Niles Wayne wore a Baroque nobleman's suit, and he looked elegant and noble. He wore a black, high-collared cloak over it, which made him look even more mysterious. However, his face was pale and almost colorless.

Sophie's eyes sparkled as if she were completely lost in his charm.

I sneered. Last life, she drooled over the shirtless werewolf Logan Payne with his six-pack abs.

But now she looked at Logan with disgust and said sarcastically, "Anna, why isn't your husband wearing any clothes? He looks wild. He won't beat you, right?"

As she spoke, she grabbed my collar and whispered close to my ear, "Listen, Anna. It won't be long before Niles defeats the werewolves and unites all humans. If you beg me for mercy then, I might spare your life."

After saying that, she shoved me slightly and smirked. "Of course, that is… if you're still alive."

Then, she cackled in a proud and cruel manner.

Vampires and werewolves were natural enemies.

Both were strong, but they had weaknesses.

In my last life, Niles found out that werewolves were powerful but stubborn after I warned him. They could be easily trapped with a little clever trick.

But spoiled little Sophie would never understand that.

After that, Logan took me back to the werewolf's base.

There was no wedding. He just threw me on the bed and went out to drink with the other werewolves.

The moment he closed the door, I climbed out the window and ran away.

I never really thought I could escape. Ever since vampires and werewolves appeared, they had spread like a virus all over the world.

They could fly and were incredibly strong fighters. They quickly took over humanity.

Running away was impossible.

But before I died last time, I learned that some humans were fighting back.

They found ways to weaken and kill vampires and werewolves. Sadly, their forces were small, and they had no allies inside.

I didn't know if they succeeded after I died.

That night, when I came back and opened the door, I saw Logan sitting on the bed. He looked angry.

"Where have you been?"
