My Roommate Raised Snakes, I Went Mad Chapter 1

My campus queen roommate wanted to keep a snake in our dorm room. I hurried to warn her, telling her it was a banded krait, highly venomous, and urged her to get rid of it right away, or I’d have to notify the Resident Advisor.

But the campus queen just laughed, insisting the snake was gentle and harmless.

A few nights later, she suddenly tied me to the bed, ripped off my clothes, and tossed the snake into my sheets. With a cruel glare, she snapped, “Lily Carter, this snake isn’t poisonous at all. But you told the RA it was venomous, and now I have to get rid of it tomorrow? Fine—let’s see for yourself if it’s poisonous!”

I was bitten several times by the venomous snake!

Just then, my boyfriend walked into the dorm. I frantically called out for help.

Jason Miller only looked at me with contempt. “Amanda said it’s not poisonous. You still went to the RA? Sit here and reflect on yourself.”

He then took Amanda White to go hiking to watch the sunrise.

The next morning, when they came back, I was already dead in the dorm bed.

Jason and the other two roommates covered for Amanda. They spread rumors online that I lived a chaotic private life, cheated on multiple men, and even had affairs, claiming I died because of an HIV outbreak. With such lies, no case was ever opened.

The story spread online. Soon, I was cyberbullied and trended as a scandal. Netizens mocked me as promiscuous and said I deserved to die.

Some even spray-painted insults on my parents’ house, calling me a disgrace.

In the end, my parents, unable to endure the humiliation, both died—my father from a stroke, my mother from a fatal fall.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back to the very day Amanda carried the snake cage into our dorm.

This time, I didn’t warn her. I even smiled and praised the snake, then secretly looked for a place to live outside.

“Lily, what do you mean? Are you saying this snake is poisonous?”

Still trembling from phantom pain, I heard Amanda’s displeased voice.

She stood before me in a short, revealing skirt, holding a cage with the snake inside.

The snake was half a meter long, dark brown with silvery bands circling its body, its round pupils scanning the room.

Seeing this familiar scene, my whole body shuddered—I realized I had been reborn. I was back at the moment Amanda first brought the snake into the dorm.

In my previous life, I had identified it as a banded krait, a neurotoxic snake capable of killing humans. Worried, I urged Amanda to get rid of it before it harmed someone.

But she ignored me and continued raising it.

At night, the snake slithered around, hissing inside the dorm.

One morning, Amanda suddenly accused me of reporting her to the RA. The RA ordered her to remove the snake.

I denied it, and Amanda pretended to let it go.

But that night, she tied me to the bed, stripped my clothes, and released the banded krait into my sheets.

Its cold body slithered against my bare skin, its belly muscles tightening as it flicked its tongue across me. I screamed in terror.

Jason walked in just then. I pleaded for help.

But he remained unmoved. “So Amanda keeps a snake. It’s not poisonous. Why did you tell the RA? You need to reflect on yourself.”

But I had never reported her. They didn’t believe me, and then left to watch the sunrise.

And once again, I was bitten to death in the dorm by the venomous snake.
