I Killed My Family After Getting My Inheritance

The day I recovered from my mental illness and got discharged, my parents held me in their arms with tears of happiness. My sister gave me a teddy bear and said she had been waiting for me to come home.

I comforted my parents who were crying and accepted the gift from my sister. I slowly got used to ordinary life and became the real daughter of the Schmidt family.

To show their preference for me, my parents transferred the family business into my name on my sister’s 18th birthday.

But I cruelly murdered the family of three who cherished me on this day.

Right after I washed away the blood stains on the floor, someone swung the villa door open.

The police retched when they saw the corpses scattered on the floor.

I belatedly raised my head, and I also gagged.

It was indeed quite disgusting to see a grand villa in such a state.

When they saw me moving, the police officer in the lead took out his gun and shouted, “Put down your weapon, wrap your hands around your head, and squat down!”

When the neighbors peeking from the outside of the villa saw that I had been cuffed, they immediately came forward. Even though the officers were blocking them, they could not stop gossiping.

“Isn’t she the eldest daughter of the Schmidt family? Why is she so cruel? She killed her own parents!”

“Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt treated her very well. They gave her everything she wanted. I heard that they didn’t leave anything to their youngest daughter. They gave it all to her. Yet she dared act so heartlessly after she got the money!”

“Don’t you know? The eldest daughter is mentally ill. She grew up in a mental hospital, and she was placed there from childhood. I guess that she hasn’t fully recovered. She must have suddenly snapped.”

The force on my back suddenly lessened, and the officer at the front stared at me with a severe expression.

“Do you have a medical history of mental illness?”

I casually nodded.

“Don’t you know that? I thought everyone in the world knew that I was sick in the head.”

When the officer saw my demeanor, he clenched his fists and gasped.

His fists eventually collided with the firm wall after they brushed my cheek.

I was a bit curious.

“I killed them, but why does that make you so angry?”

The officer shivered at my words.

“Mia Schmidt, you are now a suspect in the murder of your parents and sister. We are now arresting you in accordance with the law.

“You’d better behave yourself. Don’t think you can escape the law just because you were once living in a mental hospital. I will make sure that a demon like you faces justice!”

After the officer said that, he shoved the nosy neighbors away, pushed me into a police car, and slammed the car door shut. “Now, we’re bringing you back to the police station for further investigation. You have the right to hire a lawyer, but you’d better not lie to me.

“After all, every sinful person should repent. That goes for you too!”

Repent?

I felt the car bump along the uneven road, and I could not stop shaking.

I was not shaking because of regret.

In fact, I was excited.
