Hail Day, My Nephew Insists on Camping Chapter 1

The weather station issued a hail warning, but my nephew, Raphael, insisted on camping.

I advised everyone that it was too dangerous, but ended up getting scolded for it.

On the day of camping, hailstones larger than ostrich eggs suddenly fell, destroying the tent.

I tried to protect everyone by retreating to the car, but Raphael blamed me for ruining his "close to nature" experience.

"Aunt Lilah, do you think this hail can kill people?" he asked.

Then, he pushed me out of the car and locked the door.

I screamed for help and slapped the windows, but my family was indifferent, and some even laughed at me.

Suddenly, a football-sized hailstone struck me in the back of the head, killing me instantly.

When I regained consciousness, I found myself back on the day Raphael insisted on going camping.

The weather forecast was on TV when Raphael exclaimed, "It's going to hail tomorrow? Great! I want to see hail while camping!"

He jumped excitedly into the living room and accidentally stepped on my foot.

I yelped in pain, prompting Raphael to retort, "Aunt Lilah, you're in the way. You deserve it."

He made a face at me, and at that moment, I realized that I was reborn.

Raphael leaped into my father, Anthony's arms, saying, "Grandpa, take me camping. I want to feel the hail."

"Sure, if you want to go, then let's go," Anthony agreed cheerfully.

"Tell Aunt Lilah to bring her new tent," Raphael added.

Anthony turned to me, "Did you hear that? Bring the tent and some food and drinks. We're going camping tomorrow."

Remembering that the two thousand dollars tent I bought in my previous life was ruined after one use, I replied, "I lent that tent to a classmate. Let's use the old one instead."

Anthony glared at me, "How can you lend out new things you haven't even used?"

Raphael chimed in, "Aunt Lilah is heartless and brainless."

I shot him a cold look, thinking, "It's one thing for Anthony to say that, but you better watch out for tomorrow."

In my previous life, we had barely set up the tent when the hail started.

The hailstones were so large they broke the tent beams.

Seeing it was too dangerous, I quickly ushered everyone back to the car, but Raphael refused to leave.

"I won't go back. I want to see the hail in the tent." he insisted stubbornly.

He was very stubborn, so I had to drag him back into the car.

Fearing the hail would hurt him, I acted as a human shield to protect him from the hailstones, which left my arm bruised.

To my shock, he held a grudge and push me out of the car. He also locked the door and wouldn't let me get in.

I banged on the car door frantically, begging my family to open it and let me in.

But Raphael coldly replied, "Don't open the door. Aunt Lilah is so afraid of death. Let her stay outside and see if she'll be killed by the hail."

It was as if his words were law. My family obeyed, ignoring my safety and laughing as I writhed in pain from the hailstones.

Their laughter faded only when a large hailstone hit me on the head, staining the ground with blood.

As I lay dying, I expected them to rush out to save me.

Instead, my brother, Stephen stepped on the gas and drove away.

Thus, I met my end under the hailstorm. After being reborn, I resolved to let them experience the merciless hail.

The next day, we set off.

Upon arrival, I set up my tent while Raphael eagerly jumped inside.

I pretended to look for something. "I think I left the food backpack behind."

My sister-in-law, Sienna, immediately scolded, "Why are you so careless? We can endure hunger, but your nephew can't starve. Hurry up and figure something out."

"I'll drive to the nearby supermarket and buy some food," I suggested.

"This is the countryside. There's no supermarket!" she replied.

"I saw there's one on the way here. I'll go and be back soon," I said.

"Alright, Stephen, give her the car keys," said Sienna.

Stephen tossed me the keys, barking, "You know what your nephew likes to eat, so hurry up."

I took out the key and said to him with a smile. "No problem."
