When I was being brutally abused, my dad Bill Johnson was celebrating the coming-of-age ceremony with his adopted son.
That day was also my birthday.

"Bill, why didn't Betty Johnson answer my call?
"Today is her birthday, right? I ordered a cake for her. Where is she?"
Lisa was holding a strawberry cake in her hand.
