Dad's Love, I Never Had it Chapter 1
When I was being brutally abused, my dad Bill Johnson was celebrating the coming-of-age ceremony with his adopted son.
That day was also my birthday.
But I was brutalized by the thugs.
When I called my dad for help, he said,
"I told you not to bother me. Don't call me even if you're dying."
That night, my dad was called back to the police station because of a murder case.
My dad was known as the Eagle Eye of criminal investigation.
But he spent the whole night trying to piece the body together and still couldn't find that
the dead lying on the dissecting table was his most hated daughter.

In the early morning, the police finally found me.
It took the police ten hours to salvage my body in the sewer.
The news spread quickly and my dad was called back to the police station.
He was originally celebrating his adopted son's birthday.
He pulled away the white cloth on me, and the searchlight was very dazzling.
He asked, "What happened?"
"Someone reported the case, and we salvaged for a long time after we went there. The victim was cut into 140 pieces, and now the whereabouts of the skull is unknown."
My dad said indifferently, "Well."
If he knew that the dead on the dissection table was me, he would definitely hate me even more,
because I disturbed the gathering between him and his adopted son.
But that day was also my birthday.
"Dad, are you here to celebrate my birthday?"
My dad changed his clothes quickly and put on rubber gloves.
He was so awesome that he put my body back together in just one night.
The female forensic doctor took photos and sighed with regret.
"Judging from the age of the bones, the victim is 19 or 20 years old. There are many bruises, burns and fatal injuries all over her body. She has comminuted fractures in both legs. The deceased suffered extremely cruel torture before her death."
My dad followed up with his opinion, "It lasted at least ten hours, and she was conscious the whole time."
"Yes, dad. You are awesome.
"I struggled for eleven hours.
"Every minute was torture for me.
"But I thought that it was my birthday.
"After I got home, I should be able to have a cake.
"But I didn't wait until then."
My dad suddenly held my hand and I was so nervous.
I was wearing the bracelet he gave me.
That was the only birthday present he gave me.
He would surely recognize it.
But he put my hand down.
I forgot that the bracelet had long been corroded by sulfuric acid and unrecognizable.
"The victim's DNA has been extracted. Match it with the database to confirm the victim's identity as soon as possible."
My mom's sister Lisa Garcia came in hurriedly.
"Bill, why didn't Betty Johnson answer my call?
"Today is her birthday, right? I ordered a cake for her. Where is she?"
Lisa was holding a strawberry cake in her hand.
Unfortunately, I couldn't eat it anymore.
"What does the strawberry cake taste like? Sour and sweet?"
I never had a cake on my birthday.
Since I was a kid, Lisa had been the best to me.
But my dad didn't allow me to get too close to her.
He said I was a sinner and not worthy of contacting her.
He was so angry that he had a stern face ever since he took off his rubber gloves.
"She was probably out fooling around with those bad friends again. She doesn't like to celebrate her birthday, so you don't have to waste your time."
I liked celebrating my birthday.
How could I not like it?
It was just that my dad never wanted to celebrate my birthday.
"Bill, send a message to Betty. If she doesn't come over, the cake will melt."
