Brand New Love, Brand New Us Chapter 1

On the eve of my wedding, I found a message on my boyfriend Baron’s phone.

"I regret it, Baron, please come back."

It came from my best friend Summer.

She introduced me to my boyfriend.

At that time, she said that Baron was a good brother she had grown up with and knew her very well. She felt relieved if I go with him.

I found out later.

They didn't just grow up together.

He had liked her for no less than ten years.

Summer was heartbroken and called me to ask me out for a drink.

She emphasized, "Don't bring your boyfriend. I'm in a bad mood and I'll kill any couple I see."

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

However, after drinking with her for a while, Baron came by himself.

He was wearing a neat suit and his hair was neatly trimmed.

It looked like he rushed here right after work and didn't even change his clothes.

I was afraid that Summer would be unhappy, so I quickly pulled him over and asked, "Why are you here? How do you know where we are?"

Summer pulled me away and inserted herself between us, "No more showing off your affection, no more being so sweet, do you have any sympathy in your heart? Don't you know how to protect single people?"

"Okay, come, drink a glass of water and sit down first." I coaxed Summer to sit down.

Summer waved to Baron, "Son, since you are here, sit next to daddy and drink with me."

Baron gave me a helpless look and sat next to me.

I felt Summer was stunned for a moment.

Soon she became a little depressed and spoke less.

Due to Baron's arrival, the atmosphere became a bit awkward and the party ended quickly.

Summer felt tired after drinking a few glasses of wine and waved us away.

Baron insisted on sending Summer home, and a conflict arose after a few words.

"You're a grown man, why are you so slow? If I say no, then no."

Summer pushed me into Baron's arms, "Your girlfriend is here."

"Just take care of your girlfriend, why do you care about me?"

"Who are you? Do you have the right to control me?" Summer was holding a bottle of wine, staggering around like a drunk.

I stepped forward and snatched the bottle from her, trying to coax her, "Be good, you've had too much to drink, we'll take you back first."

She protested violently, "I don't want to see your sweet time, it's too much!"

"We agreed that we would drink it by ourselves, and you called him over to deliberately provoke me!"

"I hate you guys!"

She punched and kicked in my arms with quite a bit of force.

I frowned in pain.

Baron pulled me away and said, "Don't talk to her. She's just a drunkard and doesn't understand what you say."

"Let's send her back first."

He picked up Summer and walked out.

Summer struggled to break free from his arms using her hands and feet, but he pressed her even harder into his arms.

Her cheek brushed against his chest.

His eyes were now focused on her, with not a single cent left for me.

A subtle discomfort arose in my heart.

"I must call Aunt Alma tomorrow and ask her to talk it over."

"Candy, please take care of him. Look how grown up he is, yet he still wants to tell on his parents. Isn't that childish?" She poked her head out of his arms, looking very annoyed.

As I watched them dislike each other, the discomfort in my heart eased a little.

They grew up together and are like siblings, so their relationship is naturally deep.

Maybe there isn't so much need to avoid suspicion.

However, I still couldn't sleep that night.

Baron was sleeping soundly beside me.

I quietly took his phone, and on his WhatsApp interface, Summer and I were both pinned to the top.

At first there was only Summer, not me.

When we first talked, I asked him about it with an unhappy look on my face, and he explained that he didn't change it because he thought it was too troublesome.

Later, in front of me, he unpinned Summer and replaced her with mine.

And I don’t know when.

He put Summer back on top again.

I felt a heavy pain in my heart.

Opening their chat, it was just daily interaction, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

asked him again and again today, but he still didn't tell me.

How did he know that we were drinking outside and how did he know the address.

These unknowns make me very uncomfortable.

It was like something was growing wildly where I couldn't see.
