After the Betrayal, My Heart Sank into Despair! Chapter 1

We decided to get married in the fourth year of dating with Della Gerta.

Just half a month before our wedding, she held a so-called bachelorette party. But in fact, it was her wedding ceremony with Paul Willis, her first love.

At the party, she kissed him passionately and boldly in her white wedding dress.

"I have no regrets now."

I saw the scene indifferently and gave a great deal of money as a gift to bless them. Then I left and canceled the wedding which was scheduled for half a month.

The moment Della came out, I hadn't reacted yet and just thought it was some part of the party.

But later, Della's face blushed as she took the arm of Paul and walked onto the red carpet in the middle of the lawn.

My mind went blank when the two walked up to the stage surrounded by the crowd.

With warm applause breaking out all around, everyone present darted a glance at me.

"Isn't Della going to marry Frank Sharp? What are they doing now?"

"Didn't you notice the words at the bottom of her invitation? She said she wanted to fulfill her promise to her first love."

"Oh my, Frank is really generous. Can he tolerate it?"

I took out the invitation sent by Della immediately, and sure enough, there was a line of words that were difficult to see at the bottom.

The next moment, my face suddenly darkened.

Originally, Della told me that it was her bachelorette party and that all the guests were our mutual friends.

I felt everyone was talking about me at this time.

Della was wearing the wedding dress we had chosen together some time ago, which was very ironic.

"Welcome you to attend the wedding of Paul and I. Today, we plan to fulfill the promise we made at a young age."

Then, the big screen behind them began to play the video about their love story.

The bachelorette party sign was replaced with a photo of the two.

I suddenly remembered the night when Della and I set our wedding date.

That day, we were both playing with phones on the sofa. She saw a video all of a sudden and asked me what I thought.

It was about an 80-year-old man marrying his first love after his wife passed away.

I watched the video with a frown on my face, replying, "I feel bad for his deceased partner."

Della nodded in agreement. "You're right. It's indeed unfair to his deceased partner, but I think it's understandable. After all, the first love is hard to forget for everyone. Even if they fall in love with someone else, they will feel regretful somehow.

"So, we should enjoy life while we can and not leave regrets for later."

At that time, I hugged Della and agreed. "We'll definitely not have any regrets."

I just thought it was just a normal conversation. It was because we had been in love for four years and had started talking about marriage.

I didn't realize that Della had tried to test me while asking the question until now.

The cheers continued, "Kiss, kiss."

Amid the cheers and screams, I came to my senses and looked at the two again. Della was pouting and had her arms around Paul's neck.

As they were about to kiss each other, Paul raised his eyebrows and glanced at me.

After the kiss, Paul took the microphone, saying, "Thank you all for your coming. Della has always been the girl I love the most. Even if she becomes others' wife in the future, I will never forget our past."

Della took the microphone and added, "I'm especially grateful to my fiancé. If he didn't agree, I wouldn't have the courage to do it!"

In an instant, all eyes were focused on me. Someone mocked me; some admired me.

I looked at Della coldly from beginning to end, just feeling what she did was disgusting.

Afterwards, I took out the invitation sent by Della and put a great deal of money into it.

"You're welcome. I didn't see it clearly before, but I wish you a happy marriage now."

The next moment, I looked at my friends who were whispering in the audience and reminded them, "The engagement between Della and me is called off. Don't make your trip in vain."

After saying that, I clenched my fists and walked out of the venue.

"Frank is joking. Our wedding will be held in half a month as usual. Please come here in time!"

She then started inviting everyone to have fun, while I went to the bar and drank alone.

I never imagined that Della would surprise me today.

After drinking the wine, I felt bitter and recalled the past between Della and me.

Della and I met in college and were in the same research group.

As a lively person, she could get along well with everyone.

To put it bluntly, I fell in love with her at first sight. After learning that she had no boyfriend, I began to pursue her like crazy.

It was my first love, and my love for her was passionate.

It wasn't long before we were in a relationship, and she was almost a perfect girlfriend.

We started living together after graduation, and it was then that I realized that we could be considered childhood sweethearts.

When we were young, our two families lived close to each other. We played together at that moment. But later, my family moved away.

It was only after I took over the company that I realized that although we had lost contact over the years, our parents still maintained a cooperative relationship.

Della was my first love, and I knew that she had a boyfriend before me. However, I didn't take it seriously because it was past.

Not to mention that Della once told me that their breakup was unpleasant.

So, I least expected that she and Paul could do something so disgusting today.

The person who once vowed to spend the rest of her life with me turned out to be a bitch.

What was worse, Della didn't deliberately hide it.

Several friends called me, as expected, to make fun of me soon.

Some of them even sent me photos of me and Della as a couple on campus.

When we graduated, we were rated as the most promising couple because of this photo.

Unexpectedly, everything would change so quickly.
