After Marrying My Husband,My Ex-Husband Regretful it Chapter 1

When I turned eighteen—my coming-of-age ceremony as the future Luna—my parents were ambushed and taken hostage.

My fiancé, Alpha Jace Thorn, led a rescue mission alone.

He came back with his legs shattered, his wolf crippled, and both his kidneys torn out by rogues.

I wept for him. I believed he’d risked everything for love.

So I did the unthinkable—offered my own life to save his.

I donated one of my wolf-born organs—sacred, blessed by the Moon Goddess.

The ritual left me weak, my wolf half-asleep, dependent on tonics and moonwater just to keep breathing.

When Jace knelt before me, eyes red with tears, and promised, “You’re my mate, my destiny, my forever,”

I believed him.

Three years into our marriage, the Silverfang Pack called me the barren Luna.

I tried everything—herbal tonics, moon prayers, even the forbidden ritual of fertility under the Blood Moon.

Finally, I decided to attempt artificial conception at the healer’s den.

That was when I overheard them.

“Alpha Jace,” the healer whispered, voice trembling, “you and Alpha Thorn’s allies staged the ambush years ago. You harvested Luna Seris’s wolf organs and womb to save Lady Lyra. Now you want me to implant Lady Lyra’s egg into the Luna’s body? Don’t you think that’s too cruel?”

——

I froze behind the curtains. My heart stopped.

Jace chuckled, that cold, careless tone I once thought was charm.

“She’ll never find out. She’s too naive. She’s spent years thinking her wolf went dormant because she’s weak. She even begged me to help her conceive.”

He laughed softly. “Pathetic, isn’t it?”

The healer hesitated. “Alpha, she’s tried for two years. Her body can’t handle much more—”

“Enough.” Jace’s voice snapped like a whip.

“You work for me, not for her. And don’t mention this again—Lyra gets upset when you talk about that woman.”

Then, more quietly, his words turned venomous:

“Do you really think I’d ever marry Seris if Lyra hadn’t needed her organs? She’s nothing but a vessel—a spare part I kept alive for convenience.”

The world tilted. My vision blurred.

I stumbled out of the den before I could scream.

That night, Jace returned home with Lyra at his side—the woman I once called my sister.

He masked his surprise when he saw me waiting. Then, effortlessly calm, he sat beside me.

“Seris,” he said, smiling faintly. “Didn’t you have an appointment with the healer today?”

The word healer burned like silver in my chest.

Lyra brushed her hand along Jace’s arm, a picture of grace and pity.

“Seris,” she said sweetly, “if you’re still struggling to conceive, I know some ancient remedies from the Moon Temple. They worked wonders for me.”

I didn’t speak.

Jace’s hand immediately covered hers.

“Lyra, don’t tease her. Seris will have a pup soon enough.”

His tone was soft—but not for me. Only for her.

A laugh nearly escaped me. So that’s how it is.

Then his phone rang. He excused himself to take the call in his study.

The moment he left, Lyra’s mask shattered.

She leaned close, eyes glowing faintly gold.

“Do you really think you still deserve to be Luna?” she hissed. “A wolf who can’t breed is a disgrace to the pack. You should step down and save us the trouble.”

Her nails pierced my skin.

“Jace was mine long before you stole him,” she snarled. “You were only ever his experiment, Seris. A tool. But don’t worry—I’ll take good care of our pup.”

Then—she threw herself backward.

The crystal teacups shattered against the floor. She cried out.

“Lyra!”

Jace’s voice thundered as he rushed in.

He dropped to his knees beside her, panic flooding his eyes.

“Where are you hurt? Did she—did she push you?”

Lyra’s tears glistened as she leaned into his arms.

“Don’t blame her, please. I just told her I’m carrying your heir… and she got upset. I didn’t mean to upset her…”

I opened my mouth to speak—but Jace’s glare cut me to silence.

He lifted Lyra into his arms, fury blazing in his voice.

“Enough, Seris. Haven’t you done enough harm already?”

The front door slammed behind them.

I stood alone in the hollow mansion that once echoed with my vows—and finally realized—

even my heart had been harvested long ago.
