Actually My Fiance Never Loved Me Chapter 1

On the day her mother died, the suicidal Maeva was taken away by Calief. Since Calief's arrival, the hellish life in her new family home slowly begins to fade. Maeva believes that Calief is like a prince destined for her. They soon fall in love. However, on the day they were to become engaged, Maeva had an accident. As she searched for Calief in his dying state, she heard a half-whispered voice.

"You managed to kill her mother. And now you have managed to make her daughter unable to have offspring. You really are a very cruel man."

Calief laughed at the doctor's words. "That's because Reyka doesn't like these two people. Of course I do it so that Reyka, who is pregnant with my child, can have peace of mind and her health is not compromised."

"It turns out that the woman you love so much is Miss Reyka. If Maeva finds out, she might kill herself again."

"She will never know."

Calief replied lightly. He did not know that Maeva had overheard his conversation with the doctor earlier.

Like lightning in the day, Maeva's body shook and her legs could no longer support her body. Maeva leaned against the wall and fell slowly.

The only person in her new family who was kind to her and whom she loved to death was the one who pushed her to the brink of death more than anyone else.

Maeva already had a bad feeling when her mother took her to her husband's family home. After all, she and her mother were all that remained of her family. Living alone was too hard.

Their house was about to be sold to pay off debts, and at the same time her mother found her true love, so Maeva had no choice but to go with her mother if she didn't want to become a vagrant on the streets.

People from her new father's family disliked Maeva and her mother. Her new father's defense didn't help either.

When Maeva's mother went on her honeymoon with her husband, Maeva was left alone to experience the bullying, which became more and more severe.

Maeva was often dragged into the shed and locked from the outside, without food or water. Maeva was often beaten with wooden and iron sticks.

Maeva's body was covered with bruises and scars. Maeva was also constantly forced to do hard labor. The helpers in the house also treated Maeva cruelly.

Maeva didn't have a cell phone because it was broken by one of her father's family members, so she couldn't ask her mother to come home earlier. Maeva could only hope in the loneliness of the night.

On the day her mother promised to come home, Maeva had to hear the news of her mother's plane crash.

Everyone in the house blamed Maeva for the death of their family member, who was Maeva's new father. Maeva, who felt her soul was broken, fantasized that they were tearing her apart.

Maeva didn't want to be alone in the terrible loneliness. The only person Maeva had was her mother. Her mother was gone, so Maeva wondered why she was still alive.

Maeva went to the bridge and stood on the side that led to the wide, steep river.

Just as Maeva was about to jump, Calief grabbed her hand and pulled her body tightly into his arms.

"Your hellish life is over," Calief said.

Maeva had not felt that warmth for a long time. Calief persuaded Maeva to return with the promise that he would always protect her and be by her side.

Maeva tried to believe. The following days were just as Calief had said. No one dared to bother Maeva. Even the girl who had tormented Maeva the most, Reyka, became very kind to her.

Maeva's life became better.

But in reality, she was being played. There is no love. All this time, Calief's kindness was just a cover for his ugliness.

Calief loved only one woman, Reyka, and Maeva was nothing more than a toy.

Maeva wiped away her tears, unwilling to cry over a liar and a traitor. The feeling of love for Calief melted away in an instant, leaving pieces that could no longer be whole.

At the sound of footsteps, Maeva tried to get up and limped back to her room.

In her days of despair, Maeva had imagined that someone would suddenly save her. It did happen when she was about to commit suicide, but reality was not as beautiful as her imagination.

"Honey."

Calief's tone when he called Maeva was very different than when he had spoken to the doctor before.

Before, Maeva would immediately turn her head with blushing cheeks and smile, but now Maeva's face was blank.

Calief approached Maeva with hesitant steps and a sad expression on his face. Calief immediately sat down next to Maeva and took one of Maeva's hands, clasping it.

"I hope you stay strong, because no matter what happens, I will always accept you."

Calief thought Maeva's blank face was because she was still in shock from the accident.

"Because you suffered severe injuries to your abdomen, the doctor had to remove your uterus. Even though you can't have children, don't worry, we can still adopt."

Calief then hugged Maeva and tried to calm her down, as she must have been in shock.

Maeva said in her mind, "What a murderer! It's not enough to kill my mother and now try to destroy me, you had a secret relationship with Reyka until she got pregnant with your child!"
